Dance forms are gaining popularity as a form of physical therapy for individuals with neurodegenerative conditions such as Dementia and Parkinson’s.

Persons with such needs will learn to increase their muscle flexibility, enhance cognitive and motor functions, and interact meaningfully with others. Feel yourself grow from the inside out as you dance!

Sessions are conducted in a safe environment, from seated on chairs to supported standing positions.

  • Movement check-in & Extended warm up to prevent or reduce injuries via breath regulation
  • Grounding to reduce distress and re-orient to the here-and-now
  • Movement Techniques to be in tune with various movements and tempos
  • Movement sequence to be engaged in a short group sequence to build muscle memory
  • Movement check-out to reflect on emotions for session closure
